March 2011 Disability Unemployment Stats Released

From the Bureau of Labor Statistics on the Disability.gov website:

The unemployment rate among Americans with disabilities hit 15.6 percent in March, up just slightly from 15.4 percent the previous month, the Labor Department said Friday.

Meanwhile, the unemployment rate for the general population dropped to 8.8 percent from 8.9 percent as the economy added 216,000 jobs.

It seems as though the economy and job market are improving, but that this is not filtering its way down to those with disabilities.
