Imagine dealing with the complex task of verifying the location where a service was provided. Imagine needing to carry a separate device just to track and verify your location. And then imagine having to record service time and take notes about what happened during the visit. Now imagine the direct service provider selects the next visit on his or her cell phone or tablet in hand, selects the consumer from the list of today’s appointments and then receives turn-by-turn directions to the location.
Upon arrival, the provider clicks to start the service, and the GPS location is automatically recorded. At any time, the DSP can enter or dictate notes pertinent to the visit, and, when the visit is finished, obtain the client’s signature. All the required data is seamlessly passed to Vertex Case Manager and, in turn, to your state’s Medicaid agent.

No. You can create a service visit at any time by selecting a location, activity and consumer. The built-in GPS feature will identify and record your location.
Yes. All the information you entered so far is stored until you are ready to finalize it. When the person can sign, tap the record, advance to the signature page and you’re right where you left Off. The clock continues to advance for the service delivery time until the record is finalized.
I can’t always get an internet connection when I am in the field. Will I be able to use EVV Advocate?
Yes. If you want to use scheduled service visits, you will need to have an internet connection to download the visits prior to heading out. Once loaded, you can work with the sessions whether online or offline. For non scheduled visits, you can create the session on the fly using people from your caseload or a listing of all consumers. Regardless of whether this is a scheduled or on-the-fly visit, EVV Advocate will automatically upload completed visits the next time you have an internet connection.
I have a set schedule but need to help a fellow staff member with one of his visits. Can I work with both pre-scheduled and on-the-fly visits on the same day?
Yes. You’ll want to let your business office know, and they will be able to fix the mistake.
