“You cannot assign numbers greater than from the number series…” error message

Cause: The ending number or the warning number in the number series has reached a designated level.

Modify the setting in the appropriate number series.

1. Make note of the number series referenced in the error message.
2. Go to General Ledger | Setup | No. Series
3. Choose the series referenced in the error message.
4. Click on the Series menu button then choose Lines.
5. Update the Ending No. AND the Warning No. to extend your number series as needed.
