Minimum Wage not calculating after updating in Payroll System Options

In Client Payroll Manager, Payroll System Options, users can update the Minimum Wage Cap. This is used only for the Minimum Wage Cap feature, which is an option on Job Step Setup. Users may update this item, thinking they have completed the task of updating their minimum wage.

However, in many cases, organizations have wages set up in the Prevailing Wage Lookup, which they may also use and refer to as their minimum wage.

To update the Prevailing Wage Rate

Select Lookups from the Tools menu.

Select the Prevailing Wage Rate Lookup.

Select the Type.

Click on the History Tab.

Enter the Start date for the new wage rate and the discretionary percentage.
