On March 12th and 13th, Vertex Systems had the privilege of attending the New Jersey Association of Community Providers (NJACP) 2026 Annual Conference. This event brought together IDD leaders, providers, and advocates from across New Jersey to connect, learn, and chart a path forward for the individuals and communities they serve.
Why We Attended the NJACP Conference
NJACP represents more than 80 organizations that provide community-based services for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout New Jersey. Their members support thousands of individuals every day with housing, employment, and life-skills services that promote independence, dignity, and inclusion. NJACP strengthens that system by providing training, advocacy, and resources so providers can continue delivering high-quality care across the state.
This year’s conference theme, Meeting the Challenge, Seizing Opportunities, & Moving Forward!, captured exactly the kind of forward-looking spirit that drives this community. For Vertex, attending was a natural fit. We are committed to supporting IDD providers with the tools they need to navigate challenges, stay compliant, and focus on what matters most: the people they serve.
Key Learnings from NJACP 2026
Several important themes emerged throughout the conference:

- Kaylee McGuire, Deputy Commissioner of Aging & Disability Services
Both speakers bring significant influence to how services are funded, regulated, and delivered across the state, and their participation underscored the importance of this annual gathering.
Connecting with NJACP Member Organizations
One of the most rewarding parts of the event was the opportunity to meet with staff and leadership from a number of NJACP member agencies. These conversations gave us valuable insight into the day-to-day realities facing providers, from billing and documentation challenges to workforce pressures and the push toward expanded community-based care. Listening directly to the people on the front lines of IDD services is something we genuinely value, and it helps us continue building solutions that meet real needs.
NJACP 2026 Conference Highlights
The conference also made room for some well-deserved fun. Casino Royale night was an absolute blast, a great opportunity to step away from the sessions and connect with attendees in a more relaxed, social setting. Events like these remind us that building relationships is just as important as the conversations that happen in the conference room.
