Vertex Systems Launches Referral Portal

Vertex Systems, a leading provider of IDD software for agencies, rehabilitation facilities, and disability services organizations, today announced the availability of the Referral Portal, a new module that enables external organizations to submit structured consumer referral requests directly into the Vertex platform.

The Referral Portal allows case managers, social workers, social services departments, and partner agencies to fill out a structured digital intake form hosted on a Vertex customer’s website. Submitted referrals are reviewed and approved by the receiving organization’s staff inside Vertex Case Manager. Upon approval, a consumer record is automatically created and the referring case manager receives an automatic status update. No manual data re-entry is required at any step of the process.

The module is built on the same technology that powers Vertex Forms and is fully integrated with Vertex Case Manager, where a dedicated Referrals interface allows staff to manage incoming submissions.

The Referral Portal is particularly designed to streamline employment day referrals and client-directed referral pathways, which are common in IDD and vocational rehabilitation settings and have historically required significant manual coordination.

Getting started follows the same process as Vertex Forms. Customers submit their existing referral form or intake fields to the Vertex implementation team, who build and configure the digital form. Once live, the form is embedded on the customer’s website and immediately available for referring partners to use.
